Fiji's sugar mills produce raw sugar largely for bulk export to the refineries in the European Union markets. Export raw sugar polarization is typically in the range 98.5 to 98.8 degrees.

The mills are undergoing major restructuring program where we will be able to produce VHP sugar this year in Labasa Mill.

A small portion of the production is bagged in 50kg bags to meet direct local consumption requirements. This may amount up to 30, 000 tonnes in any year.
